Welcome Russell Warriner to our Board!

We are excirted to welcome Russell Warriner to our Board of Directors! Russell brings the energy of Oakland’s entrepreneurs and a true spirit of volunteering. Even while launching a new business and raising a young family last year, Russell found time to mentor with Oakland Serves. Now in his second year, he still helps students in academic recovery English classes at McClymonds and Castlemont. ​

“I was drawn to Oakland Serves to help young people. Life without a high school degree is hard, so even a small role in helping students graduate means a lot,” Russell shared.

Joining our board will double his impact on Oakland, helping us build a stronger organization with a compassion for the students we serve.

Russell is the founder of Nocturne, developing a device to help those with tinnitus.  Previously he was in supply management at Apple in the US and Taiwan.  Russell is the Founder and CEO of Nocturne, that developed a novel sound machine for tinnitus. Prior to that, he worked in supply chain managemet at Apple in the US and Taiwan.  He holds an MBA from Wharton and an MA in International Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
